# Governance

### Governance & Staking

To participate in governance, users must stake SPRK and receive **xSPRK**.

* You must hold **xSPRK** to be eligible to vote.
* This can be done either by:
  * Holding xSPRK directly, or
  * Allocating your xSPRK to earn rewards.

### SparkDEX DAO Governance

SparkDEX is building more than just a trading platform — it is creating a **community-owned financial network** with real decision-making power and continuously evolving benefits.

Through the **SparkDEX DAO**, SPRK holders gain governance rights, including:
